We are back. Well, we have been back for almost two weeks but I have been busy with life and just plain dreading this post because I took over 400(more before I edited) photos. I think I will just be sharing my favorites here. Also, I posted a ton on Facebook/Instagram and some of you have already seen them I am sure. I may just share a link to that album. Ha!
So let me start by saying that the drive was not as bad as I thought it would be. The girls did great, it was the adults who found it rather long and boring. Next time...we fly! I did like having a car down there though.
The hotel was amazing. We stayed at the new one called Art of Animation. Our room was little mermaid in theme and the girls just loved it!
I have to say that my most favorite part of visiting the happiest place on earth was meeting all the princesses. I may have cried a time or two. Yes, I know its not real, but it was magical.
Merida was our first.
Olivia seemed thrilled. She was like this in a lot of photos.
Waiting see Ariel in her new grotto. They are opening a new part of Fantasyland in December but had a "dress rehearsal" while we were there so we got to see parts of the new area.
See she looks so unhappy. I promise she was not.
This moment right here was one of the times I cried. Look at Belle's face while hugging Olivia. I die.
This is Faith talking to Belle about reading and her favorite books. Again, I DIE.
As long as I live I will never forget Belle saying, as we were walking away, "Keep reading girls." It was a highlight for sure.
Cinderella was another magical moment. After all, she is the most iconic one. Her sweet voice asking us what kingdom we are from was too much! The kingdom of Alton, IL, Cinderelly! Loved her!
Well, what do you know? A SMILE!!!!!!!
Princess Aurora....
And last but certainly not least, RAPUNZEL! Annie's favorite.
Annie & Rapunzel....my top 3 favorite photo of the whole trip!
On this particular day, Annie was dressed in her costume because we were attending Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party. She just had to go back to show Rapunzel her dress. The dress was made by my mom last year and I was so happy that it still fit! Oh, and the party was soooo worth the extra money! More on that another time.
I think this is a good place to stop for today and just share one more thing. Before the trip I made those autograph books that you see in some of the photos. I was trying to come up with something unique and I think I did just that! It's a camera that goes around your neck. It holds signatures and it can also hold the photos that you have taken with your favorite characters. I received a great response from other parents down asking me where I got them so I will be selling these very soon! Finally, I have created something original that I want to make. I am still coming up with the perfect way to produce larger quantites by finding the right supplies. The girls books held up very well, but I want to make sure they will hold up to abuse.
They also hold your trading pins that you trade with the cast members. Did you all know about this?? Instead of buying pins at the park(which are a fortune...$8-15 a piece) you purchase a LOT(i got 25 pins for 15.00) on Ebay and then find a cast members to trade with. You give them your pins that you don't want and they give you which ever pin you want from their vest/lanyard. The kids loved this!
Oh wait....just one more.
(That was the best I could do. That place was always packed with people!)
I promise I won't be boring you for weeks with this. I just really want to document it because I don't scrapbook and there are details I want to never forget. It was a magical, exhausting, stressful, fun, sweaty, did I mention stressful? and amazing trip. We were so blessed to be able to take our little princesses there. Truly.
Our first family vacation of hopefully many more to come. God willing.
(parts 2-20 coming soon...just kidding) Maybe not though. ;)
Happy Halloween friends!
