I need to brag on my awesome mama today.
I know everyone seems to already have Christmas on the brain, myself included, but I want to share the girls Halloween costumes because I want the girls to know just how awesome their grandma Kim is.
She has been making their costumes for years with little help from me. I always have these grand plans, but can never seem to pull it together by myself. I just dig homemade costumes. All of them have not been homemade but if they could be they would. However, next year I promised her that I would buy them(or reuse a few) to give her a break. The flipside to that will be that I won't be so neurotic about the girls not messing them up! I can't help myself. No matter how hard I try, I just can't chill out. Ain't that right dear hubby?!
Since we were going to Disney this year I had her make Olivia a little Mermaid costume to go along with Faith and Annie's costumes from last year that thankfully still fit! Snow White, Rapunzel and Ariel, their favorites, of course.
I will start with Ariel a.k.a. Olivia.
She really outdid herself on this one. Those scallops are sewn on individually!
As you can see this little nugget was ever so pleased.
I know I have shared pics of the other girls costumes last year but I did not share the details. Her work is amazing!
Next we have Rapunzel a.k.a. Annabel.
Again with the detail! Hi Pascal!
And last but certainly not least, the beautiful Snow White a.k.a. Faith.
I love her hands.
So THANK YOU dear mother/grandma. You love us well and we are so grateful! Your talent is amazing and I am blessed to have had a little bit of it rub off on me.
And now, cause I like to torture my husband, I am off to start ripping apart the living room. I have wanted it painted all year long and now that we have special guests coming to our home for Thanksgiving, so it seemed like the perfect time! HAHAHAHAHA!
{add this one to the island of misfit unfinished projects!}
Oh and don't worry, he knows what I am up to and oddly approved. What a keeper.
Smile at a stranger today,
Jen
