Hello, 2013.
So far so good. I mean, I can't complain and really have no interest in ever doing that again. There is no point anyway, right?
Life is good.
Sure I need to lose some lb's. Yes, I absolutely need to organize my house, finish up some long awaited home projects, simplify, and on and on and on. You know, all that stuff everyone starts on the first of the year. All important stuff. I get it. But, it is never going to be enough is it? Never, no not without Christ. SO, what I am getting at is that I decided to cut myself some slack. I am only going to focus on one thing this year. HIS word. Everyday, every hour if needed. I just know all the rest of the "to-do's" will fall into place and happen if they are meant to. I believe it will bring me more perspective and peace.
It has to.
*********
Also, in the spirit of cutting myself some slack I must tell you what I have been up to for the last month. Besides the holiday celebrations and a 3rd birthday thrown in, I shamefully{well maybe not so shamefully} admit that I have been lost in the tv show LOST. Like, li-ter-ralee. Man on man, please tell me you have watched this. I know I am like 10 years behind the curve on this but WHOA!!! Crazy! I can't think about much of anything else these days. It is addicting. I don't know what I would have done if I had to wait a week in between episodes. I know, I know...It doesn't entirely fit in with my new focus of the year. But hey, nobody is perfect. If you couple this new addiction with the fact that I am actually pretty lazy then well you can understand my absence in this space. Again, I say, I am a slacker.
Ok, why I am really here rambling is because I want to fully and truly participate in 10 on 10 project this year. January seemed like the best time to start. If you are not familiar with this go here. Since it was such a gloomy day here today, I used Instagram. I hope to use my dslr in the future, but I ain't promising anything.
Also, thanks to my friends on IG for reminding me that today was 10 on 10. Anyone noticing a theme here? Once I remembered, I really enjoyed taking photos all day. A habit I need to develop because I forget to take photos sometimes.
1. After dropping the girls off at school, where we were almost late because I woke up 45 min after my alarm went off, I decided a little yarn winding was in order.
2. This is my view from the couch where I had to lay down and close my eyes for a bit because I stayed up watching...you guessed it, LOST until 1am. Not my best idea.
3. Sister is obsessed with games. Any and all of them.
4. A Mcd's playdate with her little buddy, E. I got in some friend time on this gloomy day too!
5. Like I said, it was a gloomy day.
6. Homework with my favorite kindergartener. Usually this is my husband's job. Today, I wanted a turn.
7. A little Valentine's Day decorating.
8. Tiny girl in a big tub. She loves taking "baf's" all by herself now.
9. Bedtime. Hooray! {heart lights from the dollar section at Target}
10. My oh my these smoothies are divine! If you add a little peanut butter you won't be sorry. A guilty pleasure for sure that I did not feel like sharing with the kids. You understand.
An ordinary but equally beautiful day. The best kind really. If you are reading this, I hope all is well. I pray this year is full of the best that this life has to offer. Whatever that may be for you.
Much love.
****Could you please pray for my sweet hubby? He starts his new job in the morning. A dream job of sorts. We are all kinds of excited around here. Change can be good.****
